Graduate Admission Assistant

The Graduate Admission Assistant will report directly to the Assistant Director of Graduate Admission and will be responsible for interacting with inquiries and applicants, scheduling phone or Zoom calls with prospective students, and assisting the Graduate Admission team with projects and events.

  • Assist with inquiry follow-up via email, phone, webchat, and Zoom
  • Advise students on basic graduate program information and important dates and deadlines
  • Assist students in successfully navigating the admission process
  • Meet with students via Zoom to answer questions and provide information about programs, applying, etc.
  • Assist with special projects for admissions recruitment and marketing
  • Assist with events, both virtual and on/off-campus
  • Provide 1-on-1 tours of campus
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student correspondence in CRM system
  • Ensure all student questions are addressed and/or appropriate action is taken
  • Communicate with admission representatives about student questions and escalate when needed
  • May be asked to contribute content to department social media platforms and blog
  • Use of tact and sensitivity in handling private student information

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be current RWU graduate student
  • Previous experience in an office environment or customer service role desired
  • Strong interpersonal, phone, and email skills
  • Problem solver
  • Quick learner 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Blog writing/editing
  • Social Media
  • Photography, design & Photoshop skills a plus 

Physical Demands

  • This position will require giving tours of the campus 

Must be a current graduate student at RWU. This role will be available for the 2025-2026 academic year.

May work 20 hours/week, paid at $20/hour up to $4,000 per academic year.
