ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ University is committed to creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming campus for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. To that end, RWU partners with Vector LMS, Higher Education Student Edition to provide trainings that will help us all be informed on topics vital to achieving our goal. These trainings, in addition to being highly interactive and engaging, are based in research around the best practices for healthy communities.

In 2024, RWU earned the for the fifth consecutive year. The CPN Seal of Prevention represents the highest standard for digital prevention programming and is a recognition which only 12% of colleges and universities nationwide have achieved. The CPN Seal of Prevention recognizes the caliber of our digital student programming in establishing shared values and community expectations related to safety, belonging, and well-being.
As such, completion of some of these programs are required as part of your orientation experience. Ongoing wellness initiatives are also assigned during the course of your college career that not only communicate but actively demonstrate our institutional mission and commitment to preparing you for success on campus and beyond.

Welcome new RWU students! ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ University partners with Vector Solutions whose mission is to help college students address critical life skills such as alcohol misuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, and building relationships with people different from themselves. Each year over 500,000 students complete these courses.
As part of our New Student Orientation, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ University expects you to complete 4 online courses:
- AlcoholEdu (alcohol education);
- Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging;
- Mental Well-Being; and
- Sexual Assault Prevention.
These 4 courses can assist you in establishing healthy, positive relationships and making well-informed decisions about issues that affect your college years and beyond.
Information on the Vector Solutions program will be sent to students via email. The online courses will not begin until the end of July for new students starting RWU for the Fall 2025 semester.
Part 1 Courses - Due by Thursday, August 21st
As part of our comprehensive prevention program for new students, you will need to complete the following four (4) courses:
- AlcoholEdu (alcohol education);
- Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging;
- Mental Well-Being; and
- Sexual Assault Prevention.
The courses will be available for you to complete on or around the last week of July. You will receive an email directly to your RWU email account when the courses are ready for you to complete. Included in that email will be a unique link for you to access your Vector portal. All four courses must be completed prior to August 21. Not completing these 4 separate courses will delay your check-in process and start of your semester.
Part 2 Surveys - Due by Friday, October 10th
Around 30 days upon completing each course in Part 1, you will receive an email inviting you to take Part 2 (brief follow up surveys), which are due by October 10.

As part of our comprehensive prevention program for new students, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ University expects all new students (including transfers) to complete the AlcoholEdu (alcohol education), Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Mental Well-Being, and Sexual Assault Prevention courses. These four online courses will empower students to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect the college years and beyond.
Completing the courses is required and students will not be permitted to start their semester without completing all 4 courses.
It’s important to talk with your student about drinking, sexual assault and diversity awareness before they come to campus. Here are some resources to help you start the conversation.
- You will need internet access and audio capabilities. The courses can be completed on a laptop, tablet or smartphone.
- Courses are best supported by the latest versions of Chrome (preferred), Firefox, and Safari.
- You may take the course(s) in multiple sittings. Please take your time learning from engaging with these research-based courses. Do not log out until you hit the next button or you will have to repeat the section.
- The courses may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
- Each course takes about 45 minutes-hour to complete so make sure you take them well before the start of the fall semester.
